This is a big book with a great deal of information on the identification and natural history of a very interesting assemblage of snake species. The book is well-illustrated with maps and line illustrations of scalation, as well as 74 color plates. The binding is in very good condition, the book is square and solid. There is a small tear at the top of the spine. There is no dust jacket. There is spotting on the front and upper edges of the text. As is typical of this volume, there is foxing on the endpapers, and on many of the color plates and facing pages. There is a personal stamp on the front edge of the book and a book plate on the inside of the cover. Most of the text is immaculate. All-in-all, the book is in good-to-very-good condition, a worthy addition to a herper's library.] $100.00
